Review by hotel critic
Review of Alolayan PlazaDuring my recent stay at Alolayan Plaza in Saudi Arabia, I found a mixed experience that warrants discussion, particularly for travelers seeking value during their pilgrimage to the Holy Mosque. Nestled in a calm neighborhood with a few assorted restaurants nearby, the hotel offers easy access to taxis-20 SAR to the Haram, though expect a return fare of 50 SAR. The room itself was basic yet clean, providing a place to rest after a long day. An electric kettle was present, but guests should bring their own tea, sugar, and water, as no additional amenities like toiletries or provision for refreshments are available. While the price during Ramadan was appealing, the hotel lacks vital facilities: there's no cupboard, and the rooms had persistent odors. the service left much to be desired; In sum, this hotel delivers on financial savings but falls short on comfort and services. If your focus is solely on cost-effective lodging near the Holy Mosque, it may suffice, albeit with significant compromises in amenities.
